About Roger
Hey, Cub fans!
Welcome to my site, friend!
I'm just thankful you're here, plus some Jesus time, and an SRO ticket to an annual Cubs game and life is good!
My background includes writing some classified ads while at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and assisting, originally through a volunteer assignment with the Center for Visually Impaired on the writing of Eva Friedlander's memoir, The Nine Lives of a Marriage, about surviving Hungary's Holocaust and a long-struggling marriage. Plus, I've done some business ghost-writing and copywriting for a local Christian foundation and content writing for the online gift card, Cudos.
My goal in writing this novel which was inspired by an amazing men’s group where you were not permitted to give advice, was to hopefully capture the complexities of the hidden life of men, braving the brashness of youth, who often hit walls, crash seriously epic plans, are blindsided, and just don’t see that train coming at ’em – thinking it’s a light...
With 4 brothers and 6 nephews I was led to write TOCKD, a moral at its heart—hopefully it will inspires those stationed globally in the military, the long-suffering blue-bleeding Cubbie fans, collegians, epic sport fans, and dreamers of all ages!
If I get the chance I’d like to go to a C.S. Lewis writer’s conference and hear more about the wisdom of The Inkling’s writers.
Thanks for anyone giving TOCKD and a former Chicagoan a chance.
